Story
You take on the role of a chosen hero who will defend the world from Hel’s, the Norse death goddess, vengeance. This, however, your future adventures are, by no means, set in stone – because this game has a branching story, depending on the choices you make. By including more than one chosen one, the game departs from the traditional chosen one plot. All the other players you meet in the open-world game are immortals. They can battle the goddess Hel since they are immortals and don’t have to worry about dying forever. Every time Hel or one of her henchmen kills them, they promptly reanimate and come back for round two.
Starting Off
You will be requested to finish basic class selection and minor character customization panels at the beginning of the game. Gender, skin tone, and hair color are the only modification options – at least for now. You can choose to fight as a warrior, a bowman, or a healer. Each class has a condensed skill tree, with the warrior class leading to the berserker subclass and the healer class eventually leading to the shaman subclass. The more levels you reach and objectives you accomplish, the more classes you can access.
The unique feature of Frostborn is the ability to switch classes while playing. The three primary classes and the ensuing subclasses that are unlocked can be switched between. Both single and group gamers will benefit from this. Nothing else in the game is impacted by the brief latency that occurs when switching classes.
